Ray Ghafouri is a local make-up artist who resides in one of the world's most beautiful cities: Vancouver, British Columbia. In 2003, Ray graduated from Vancouver's premier make-up college, Blanche Macdonald. After graduation she provided her expertise on several student independent films as well as her first wedding, where she fell in love with creating that special look on a bride's special day.
"There's just something about a bride on her wedding day. Who wouldn't want to be a part of that?"
Soon thereafter, Ray joined Lancome cosmetics' make-up artist team, which helped tone her make-up skills. She soon became the Assistant Manager of downtown Vancouver's Lancome location, where for 2 years she gained the valuable experience of the business side of the make-up industry.
"It's an experience I will never forget. I did what i loved everyday, and met so many great people."
It was only a matter of time before Ray started thinking about starting something on her own and thus First Blush was born.
"This way i can give a client 100% of my time any time they need it. I will go where they need me: whether it's a last minute photo shoot, their big day, a special dinner, or just in need of some make-up shopping advice."
Her passion for her craft is apparent on the faces of her clients. Her professionalism, desire for quality, and wonderful personality leave her clients with a great impression of her skills and lead to further recommendations.

Ray is very knowledgeable in her field which allows her to work in various genres: from film and theatre to weddings and graduations.
